Your new luxury extensions should be comfortable and flexible from day one HOWEVER, it may take a few days for your scalp to adjust to the additional weight. This should not typically be painful. Your scalp health will be closely monitored through the duration of your extension experience as scalp health is my priority.

-Brush 2-3x per day

-Divide hair down the middle in the back and pull each side over its respective shoulder-pulling all hair to one side can put too much tension on the opposite side

-Hold the seam of your wefts to stop from putting to much tension on your hair, starting at the ends and moving your way up

-Brush each row separately, and get as close as you can to the seam without brushing over the seam itself-which can cause weft damage

-Brush between your rows to prevent matting

Brushing

-Brush hair before entering the shower

-For multiple rows, clip up the top row to ensure you get between the rows and rinse thoroughly between the rows

-Always use a conditioner, extension hair is thirstayyy and needs it! A good masque is great to use every few washes!

-You can always do the "top wash"! This consists of just washing your front hairline and crown above your extensions in the sink

-While not necessary, I highly recommend a filtered shower head

washing

-Apply product-especially a heat protectant-and blow dry the base of your extensions.

-air dry 50% before using a dryer, and 90% before using a round brush to smooth the hair

-No, really, always use a heat protectant

-Mids and ends can be air dried, however the base of your extensions must aways be blow dried. Failure to do so can cause swelling, fraying, and deterioration of your wefts as well as matting, trapping bacteria and moisture causing yeast and bacterial issues-no thank you!

-Keep in mind, wet hair is more fragile and heavier than dry hair, which can add additional tension

styling

-DO use sulfate and paraben free products

-DON'T go to bed with wet or damp hair! ever.

-DO sleep with dry hair in a low pony or loose braids

-DON'T use sunscreen with avobenzone-always use a mineral sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens discolor and damage extension hair

-DO saturate hair with tap water or conditioner before swimming, and keep hair braided or in a bun. Minimize chlorine and saltwater absorption into the hair, which can cause discoloration and dryness. It's best to not get them wet, but we do what we can!

-DON'T put hair in a bun or pony that applies too much tension, especially to those front bead sections. gently loosen front bead areas. pulling at an odd angle can cause damage and the wefts to "flap" in the front

-DON'T over use purple shampoo-it's extemely drying to extensions and can cause them to turn purple

-DO get a satin or silk pillowcase

-DON'T go above 350 with heat, and always use a heat protectant
